Low-threshold services for vulnerable groups of the population

Since 2000, the ACNO "New century" has been carrying out activities in the Republic of Tatarstan to prevent HIV infection and other infectious diseases among the most vulnerable population groups (drug users and related groups, migrants, HIV +, etc.). This principle is based on the principle of "low threshold" of access: anonymously, without documents, free of charge, taking into account the specific behavior of the vulnerable groups for prevention, diagnosis, treatment, social and legal assistance, assistance in obtaining assistance on the basis of state institutions.

 Since 2006, the work has been based on the basis of a stationary Low-threshold center for vulnerable groups in the city of Kazan - the first institution of this type in the Republic of Tatarstan. In 2016 The second center was opened in Naberezhnye Chelny. The centers were established within the framework of public-state partnership with the Republican Clinical Skin and Venereal Dispensary of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tajikistan. As methods of work, the organization uses outreach in places of localization of vulnerable groups, case management, equal consultation, the provision in a daily mode of medical and social services on the principle of "one window" on the basis of specialized Low-threshold centers.
