History

The ‘New century” celebrates its majority on March 22, 2017. For us, this is a significant milestone, a kind of awkward age from adolescence to youth. Even more responsibility for what we do, how we do it, what are the results of our activities.

This is a desire for excellence, an even more responsive and subtle response to the needs and new demands of society, the search for new opportunities for the embodiment of our ideas. Even today we are on the way of organizational transformations and development of new directions in work. We do not stand still, we find our strength and our inspiration in motion.

We are confident that we can contribute to the development of the millennium, to influence positive changes in society and thereby improve life of people. All that tomorrow will become the history of the "New century" and will appear here today, because we ourselves already live in the new century and the new millennium.

The ACNO “New century” successfully tested the use of potential of international sport events in countering HIV infection in 2013 and 2015 in the Republic of Tatarstan, which laid the foundation for the implementation of the social part of the "Kazan Marathon 2016 - Test yourself!".

The ACNO “New century” came out with an initiative to the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan on holding the International scientific and practical conference" Migration in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Modern Challenges, Experience, Innovations", which took place in September 2016 in Kazan and became the largest Russian-speaking forum in the EECA region, fully dedicated to migration issues.

The ACNO "New Century" becomes the laureate of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan award for contribution to the development of civil society institutions in the Republic of Tatarstan.

The Information campaign "Dive safely!", implemented by the ACNO "New Century" in partnership with key organizations, has consolidated Tatarstan's leadership in using innovative approaches of preventive health care at world-class sports events (XVI FINA World Aquatics Championship in 2015)

A Consortium of socially-oriented organizations working in the field of prevention of socially significant diseases was established in the Republic of Tatarstan upon an initiative of the ACNO “New century”.

For the first time in the history of international competitions taking place in Russia and the EECA region, the ACNO "New Century" together with UNAIDS implements the information campaign "Games for Life. Games for Health" on HIV prevention within the framework of the XXVII World Summer Universiade 2013 in the city of Kazan

From 2011 to the present day the organization becomes a recipient of state subsidies of the Republic of Tatarstan for working with vulnerable groups of the population (migrants, drug users and related groups).

The ACNO "New century” creates the unique for Russia and the Republic of Tatarstan a low-threshold center for vulnerable groups of the population on the basis of the Republican dermatovenerologic dispensary in Kazan in December, 2005.

The ACNO "New century" participates and represents the experience of the Republic of Tatarstan at major international conferences (USA, Canada, Mexico, Austria, Germany, Russia, etc.).

The organization becomes a recipient of the state program for the prevention of drug addiction of the population for primary prevention component among adolescents and youth.

Launch of low-threshold services for vulnerable groups of the population using outreach work, principles of friendly medical services, program for medical professionals training in working with vulnerable groups of the population.

Thanks to the idea of team of experts in the sphere of public health care   the “New Century” organization was founded

The Office of the Ministry of Justice for the Republic of Tatarstan officially registered the Autonomous charity non-profit organization "New century" on March 22, 1999

For the first time in the Republic of Tatarstan the “New century” organization opens an information center for specialists and the general population on the prevention of HIV and other socially significant diseases.

In the same year, the organization conducts the first information campaign in the field of public health, based on the principles of social marketing and the use of innovative approaches to prevention.
